January Wrap Up and February TBR!

Hello! I know it’s a little late but I thought I would talk about the books I read in January, and what I plan to read in February. I read 6 books last month, which is a great start to the year, and I’m very happy with it.

January Wrap Up

Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth
The first 3 books that I read last month was the Divergent trilogy. I really loved the series and it was a great way to start the New Year.

You can read my more in depth review of the whole series here.

The Humans by Matt Haig
The fourth book I read was The Humans, and I absolutely adored this book. I would encourage everyone to read it!

I won’t talk too much about it because I have a full review here!

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
I’d heard so many good things about Rainbow Rowell but I had never read any of her books until this one and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t write a whole review on it because I didn’t feel as though I had anything to say about the book and there are so many already.

I liked the characters, although Eleanor got on my nerves sometimes, but I felt the book was too short. The romance and other parts of the story happened too quickly and I feel as though they could be expanded on more and there could have been more detail.

Nonetheless, it was a good book, and if you’re thinking about reading Eleanor and Park, it’s definitely worth a try.

I gave it 3/5 stars.

One Million Lovely Letters by Jodi Ann Bickley
This was the final book I read last month (although I technically finished it on February 1st, I’m counting it for January) and it was such an inspirational read. If you haven’t heard of Jodi and her One Million Lovely Letters project you need to look it up right now! www.onemillionlovelyletters.com

Jodi is such an inspiring person and this book is absolutely beautiful!
I gave it 5/5 stars.

February To Be Read

I Was Here by Gayle Forman
I had been looking forward to reading this for so long! I really liked If I Stay and this book sounded amazing. It was released 29th January and I started reading it as soon as I finished One Million Lovely Letters, so although I have actually read it, it’s still going on my TBR.

The Rosie Project and The Rosie Affect by Graeme Simsion

I have been wanting to read The Rosie Project for so long, and with Valentines Day coming up this month I think now is the perfect time to finally getting round to it!

And that's it! Overall, January was a great month of reading, I enjoyed all of the books and I’m really happy with how many I’ve read so far. In February I'll hopefully be reading more books than I have planned, especially with a four hour train journey home and another four hour car journey back to Chester, but I don't have any books that I'm desperately planning to read.

Let me know in the comments or on Twitter what your favourite books of January were and what you're reading this month!

Thanks!
